Our Tofu cream recipe is so simple, quick and easy to make. Yet, it is one of the healthiest, versatile sweet creams out there! Spoon over fruit, dress a cake, top a cupcake, in a crepe, on top of waffles, or it can even be a dessert by itself! The smooth, creamy texture and natural sweet flavor will not disappoint.
Prep time: 5 minutes
This recipe makes about a cup of cream but can be doubled
Ingredients
- 175g (1/2 pkg) Firm tofu
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Avocado oil (grapeseed or oil of choice)
- 1 Vanilla bean stick
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Brown rice syrup (maple syrup is fine too)
- Dash salt
*add agar powder according to directions on pkg for a firmer cream
Directions
- Rinse tofu in cold water and pat dry
- Add all ingredients together in a blender and blend until very smooth
*Tip: This cream is the base of many variations. Add berries, or jam to make it a berry cream. Add cocoa powder and it will transform into chocolatey goodness! Green tea powder, nuts, black sesame, possibilities are endless just as long as you adjust the desired sweetness with maple syrup or brown rice syrup!
